Vol. 14 No. 23 (2023): Special Edition – V Congress of Researchers of the SNI and Ibero-America
The sciences -as higher knowledge- and research -as its field of work par excellence- have for centuries been the majority, if not exclusive, domain of men, and the struggle of pioneering women and social movements to make the work of women in science visible and recognized has not been little, nor has it been enough. However, there are truly significant experiences that deserve a closer look, as is the case of the Congress of Women Researchers of the National System of Researchers of Mexico, to which we have dedicated this special edition. The Autonomous University of Tamaulipas has hosted in Tampico this fifth version of the academic contest that highlights the role of women in the construction of higher knowledge in Ibero-America, and Teuken Bidikay is honored to offer its readers a selection of the best papers presented, discussed and endorsed in this important scenario.
