Abstract

Solar drying processes, allow to preserve the active principles and the organoleptic characteristics of the plants longer, although with an additional economic and energy cost, due to this, it has been decided in some cases to employ solar systems dehydration have less heat to dehydrate than others, which increases the time required in the dehydration. This project uses the principle of using a traditional marquee drying chamber which serves as additional support for the other energy having inside the plant material to be dewatered. The system is completed by a forced air duct with power levels that can be supplied by a solar panel system. The results show reduction of moisture in the chamber dehydrated.
