Abstract

In the edition of books the mistakes are so frequent as the successes; as examples some of the Editors' notes that rejected authors' works that turned later in classic.

They said to Gabriel García Márquez in La hojarasca (The verbiage) "you are not endowed to write, you would do better in devoting to another thing”. Herman Melville was informed about Moby Dick: "We regret saying to you that we are opposed to publishing this text since we do not consider it to be adapted for the juvenile market. It is very long, slightly antiquated and in our opinion there does not deserve the reputation that you seem to enjoy with your other books". The opinion of the book of the jungle was "I am sorry gentleman Kipling, but you simply cannot use the English language".
