Lighting the Spirit. The educator’s role in political formation of students.

In this discourse, the author highlights the volatility of social constructions and the importance of education in the transmission of knowledge and the preservation of cultural heritage of peoples. In that respect, he ranks as lead manager to the teacher, while he proposes a teaching practice committed to social justice, collective ideals and independence of students, which have to lead to a revolutionary political formation, serving the ideals that give origin. Finally, it evokes some renowned authors to accompany their arguments for liberating and critic education, and as a condition for human development and social progress.
