The objective of this research was to analyze the investigative trajectory of women researchers in the Mixteca community (Atlixco, Puebla); to contribute to the solution of the problem by presenting an overview of the contextual reality. A mixed methodology was applied, in the quantitative approach numerical data from the SNI information base of 2022 was used. For the qualitative approach, the investigative trajectory of the researchers attached to the SNI and who belong to two existing IPES in Atlixco (BUAP and Higher Technological Institute of Atlixco). The limited female presence in the research motivates reflection on the subject.
