Between the need and the desire contextualization of two problematic notions in the company

To confront one of the most common mistakes in the field of administration and social sciences with regard to the needs and desires, we present a way for reaching the dominant view of the notion of human needs in relation to their motivation in organizations. The main idea of this reflection is to contextualize the explanation made from the American School of Human Relations and the scale of needs of Abraham Maslow. These representations have been established in human resource management and industrial psychology, more from aspects of founding myths and contributions to the ideology of management, than from the review of theoretical and methodological rigor. To propose such problematization we have the support in certain sociological critique and epistemological resources of psychoanalysis.Article Metrics
