Metodología para la aplicación de modelos de regresión de usos del suelo en la estimación local de la concentración mensual de PM10 en Medellín – Colombia

Resumen

En este artículo se presenta una metodología que aplica modelos de regresión de usos del suelo (LUR) a datos de algunas posibles variables explicativas disponibles en enero de 2007 (usos del suelo, vías principales, milímetros de lluvia y decibeles de ruido) para estimar localmente la concentración promedia mensual del contaminante PM10 (μgm/m3) en 10 sitios de monitoreo en la ciudad de Medellín - Colombia. La metodología usa sistemas de información geográfica (SIG), el método de mínimo cuadrados ordinarios (OLS) y regresiones geográficamente ponderadas. De 11 modelos obtenidos, el mejor fue una función lineal de la distancia a las vías principales con un R2 de 0,79. En la primera parte se presentan las características de los modelos LUR. En la metodología se implementan los modelos LUR; se obtienen los resultados, se hace su análisis y finalmente se presentan las conclusiones.
