Tendencias de investigación en economía azul basadas en el árbol de la ciencia

Resumen

Pese al creciente interés en el concepto de economía azul (EA) desde principios del siglo XXI, la literatura disponible no es particularmente prolífica en análisis amplios de perspectivas globales y temáticas recurrentes del asunto. Este artículo aborda esta brecha mediante un análisis de tendencias de investigación sobre el tema, mediante el algoritmo Tree of Science. Se analizaron documentos de alto impacto en Scopus y Web of Science, y se identificaron tres tendencias clave: seguridad marítima y desarrollo sostenible, gestión y política pesquera, y crecimiento sostenible para economías costeras. Se destaca la necesidad de modelos de gobernanza integrados que promuevan la distribución equitativa de recursos y prácticas sostenibles. Estos hallazgos guían a responsables de políticas y partes interesadas en el fomento de comunidades costeras resilientes, lo que contribuye a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. El análisis ofrece una visión integral para el desarrollo social, económico y ambiental, en contextos marítimos y costeros.
