Importancia de la maniobra de adelantamiento en carreteras de dos carriles

Resumen

La presencia  o ausencia de los tramos necesarios con distancia de visibilidad de adelantamiento en una carretera de dos carriles, incide en la calidad de su  flujo vehicular  ya que afecta la capacidad, el  nivel de servicio, la accidentalidad y  la velocidad de circulación.  Por lo anterior, es muy importante que una carretera de dos carriles disponga de tramos con distancia de visibilidad de adelantamiento, igual importancia tiene también la fórmula que indica cuántos metros continuos se necesitan para realizar la maniobra de una forma segura y el procedimiento que se debe realizar a los planos de diseño geométrico para determinar los tramos en los que existe esta distancia. Al estudiar las formulaciones que calculan esta distancia, se presentan muchas variables, de las cuales se hace necesario  enfatizar en algunas y  fijar otras, tomando condiciones en las cuales no haya influencia de ellas.  Es por ello que se tomaron datos de la maniobra en la que un automóvil adelanta otro automóvil,  datos de cuántos segundos utilizan los conductores para adelantar, en sitios donde otras variables como la pendiente de la vía no son de gran importancia, por ser muy pequeña.  Se analiza también la normatividad colombiana relacionada con el tema

ABSTRACT

The presence or absence of the necessary road sections with visibility distance passing on a two-lane road, affects the quality of traffic flow as it affects the capacity, the level of service, accident and operating speed. Therefore, it is very important that a two-lane road has sections with passing sight distance, equally important is also the formula that indicates how many running meters are needed to perform the maneuver safely and the procedure to be performed to the geometric design planes to the determine the road sections in wich there is this distance. In considering the formulations that calculate this distance, there are many variables, of which it is necessary to emphasize on some variables and let other variables fixed, taking conditions in which there is no influence of these.That is why data were taken from the maneuver in which a car passing another car, how many seconds of data used by drivers to overtake in places where other variables such as the slope of the road are not of great importance, because very small .
